Highly acclaimed "Hunger Games Catching Fire" Director and Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman is discovered dead in the bathroom in Manhattan home after suffering from suspected drugs overdose. Hoffman has won a series of awards, including Best Actor Oscar for his 2005 film, "Capote" performance.







"RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman. This incredible actor. You played an outstanding Plutarch. So sad," "Hunger Games Catching Fire" Co-star Jennifer Lawrence said. Mia Farrow offered her tribute for the 46-year-old actor on Twitter, saying: "Not again!!!!! Philip Seymour Hoffman has died. A totally kind, wonderful man and something of our greatest actors - ever." "Green Card" Actress Andie MacDowell also tweeted: "Phillip Seymour Hoffman has not been a genius actor but a sort, generous man RIP."








"I am very fortunate to get caused an extraordinary Philip Seymour Hoffman i am deeply saddened by his passing," Julianne Moore who caused Philip in Magnolia, Boogie Nights and Big Lebowski, told Entertainment Weekly. "My condolences and system is together with his family."

"There isn't any words. It is terrible," George Clooney also told EW. "It is a horrible day for people who worked with him. He would be a giant talent," Tom Hanks said. "Our hearts are open for Philip's family."



"An emergency to forfeit as supremely talented an actress as Philip Seymour Hoffman. Now you have an unspeakable loss for theatre, film and many types of isn't him. RIP," Kevin Spacey tweeted. "Philip Seymour Hoffman was obviously a brilliant, talented man. Good news this morning is shocking and sad. My heart goes out to his spouse and children," Ellen De Generes tweeted. "Unbelievable talent. The creative community has lost a genuine acting genius. RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman," Channing Tatum posted.

"Shocked to know of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death. When you missed him as Willy Loman, you missed a Willy Loman forever," Steve Martin tweeted. Hoffman leaves Mimi O'Donnel, his partner, and three children. He previously undergone treatment for dependency to pills and heroin use. Though the Hollywood star struggled to overcome his addiction.



He soon began using prescribed drugs in 2012 before beginning heroin. In 2013, Hoffman fell over wagon 23 years after he first quit drugs, being afraid that drug abuse would kill him. He initially spent ten days in clinic for treatment.




"I think back right at that moment, plainly had money, I would have died," Hoffman said regarding his habit previously.

Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman's death today has cast a cloud of uncertainty over how his untimely passing might affect many his upcoming projects, including the two-part finale with the Hunger Games. Hoffman joined the franchise as head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee in last year's blockbuster The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.







The Hollywood Reporter claims "Hoffman had completed his benefit Part 1, coupled with only 1 week remaining to shoot for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2. Sources repeat the films' scheduled release dates of Nov. 21, 2014, and Nov. 20, 2015, respectively, will never be affected by Hoffman's death.







Less uncertain may be the fate with the upcoming Showtime comedy series Happyish, during which Hoffman played the lead. It may not be certain what amount of the show ended up completed, whether Showtime will recast charge or scrap the series entirely now. Showtime issued these statement regarding Hoffman's death: "Philip Seymour Hoffman was our generation's finest and most brilliant actors. He was also a gifted comedic talent. It turned out a fantastic privilege and pleasure to use him so we are common absolutely devastated at this sudden loss. Our thoughts go out to his family when it reaches this very difficult time."







Hoffman seemed to be set to direct the drama Ezekiel Moss with Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams recently announced to cast. No word on if the project will continue with director or why not be scuttled. In addition to Mockingjay, Hoffman's posthumous releases would include God's Pocket as well as a Most Wanted Man.
